A Word from the Producer

I found myself at the age of 46, in 2001, being the only survivor of all the married couples in my business circle. All my co-workers had begun a new life with younger women. It frightened me and my wife, and I wondered if it was an inevitable phenomenon. During a trip to Costa Rica, while my son was in a boarder house, I and my wife asked ourselves what would be our new project, now that we were alone, together. We decided to make a movie on the midlife crisis, and as soon as we mentioned it to our group of travelers, it brought an animated discussion.

Five years later, the project begins its public life. We consider, for this U.F.O. (Unidentified Filmic Object), improvised by 19 actors of talent of which Sylvie Legault, Danielle Proulx and Jacques Drolet, an original form of distribution which will be addressed to couples who need to reposition themselves in their midlife crisis. We noticed that it brought discussions when people viewed it. Spectators did not comment much on the movie but spoke openly about their own situation. At first, I was a little surprised, but then I told myself that it was proof that they were truly moved.

The film was produced on account of author. I believe in talent, in the importance of truth in play acting, that only accomplished actors can bring out; and to the innate capability of each individual to create its own destiny, even if he is an artist.
